Annual general body meeting of Supreme Sikh Society of New Zealand will be held at gurdwara Sri Kalgidhar Sahib, Takanini on Sunday, October 18. The meeting will start at 2 pm.
Society's spokesperson Daljit Singh has urged all the members to attend the meeting as many important decisions will be taken in the meeting such as establishing separate wings for NZ Sikh Sports Complex, Sikh Heritage School and Kinder Garten. He said services maximum possible members will be taken for these wings and committee urges all members to attend the meeting.
It is worth mentioning that Supreme Sikh Society is the largest organisation representing Sikhs and Punjabis in New Zealand. It’s active not only for propagation of Sikh religion but also for various social causes. Society recently has constructed Sikh Sports Complex, Sikh Heritage School and Kinder Garden to connect Sikhs children in New Zealand to Sikhism. Society was at forefront of helping people during COVID – 19 by providing free food bags to the needy people.
Society at present has around 500 financial members and its reach is getting wider. To maintain transparency in works and manage the affairs smoothly, the society conducts annual general body meeting every year.
